Jack K DruryJack facilitated experiential learning at an international level for over 25 years and provided training to educators throughout North America, the United Kingdom and the Middle East. He is Professor Emeritus of North Country Community College having founded and directed the college’s Wilderness Recreation Leadership Program for nearly twenty years. He is past president of the Wilderness Education Association (WEA) and co-author or contributing author of six books and numerous articles.
He is retired and makes maple syrup in the spring, writes a biweekly column for his local newspapter, and spends as much time as possible with his grandchildren. |
Mark C WagstaffMark was professor of Recreation, Parks and Tourism at Radford University (RU), Virginia. He serves as coordinator of Radford's Outdoor Recreation Concentration. He has co-authored several textbooks including: Outdoor Leadership: Theory and Practice, Technical Skills for Adventure Programing, and Controversial Issues in Adventure Programming. Mark's field experience includes: WEA Instructor, N.C. Outward Bound School Instructor, and professional whitewater guide. He received the first annual WEA instructor award and the 2013 RU College of Education Outstanding Teacher Award. He has authored numerous articles and chapters and focuses his research on outdoor leadership and challenge course programming.
